Steven C. DiMatteo

Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Student Services

Mr. Steven DiMatteo brings a wealth of knowledge and perspective to his role as Assistant Principal for Student Services at ACCS. Previously, he has been a One-on-One Aide, Substitute Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Supervisor, Director of Special Education.

Mr. DiMatteo’s educational philosophy is based on the concepts of educating the whole child and providing a well-rounded education for students. He also believes in having an open line of communication between students, families, and school staff.

Mr. DiMatteo received a Bachelor’s of Arts from Holy Family University in Elementary and Special Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University. Mr. DiMatteo is a certified trainer in the Handle with Care behavioral management program. He has also been involved in implementation of Resiliency and Crisis teams with in schools, Calm Classroom program, and effective Intervention and Referral Services processes. 

Mr. DiMatteo is honored and excited to begin this new school year. He looks forward to bringing his vision to life by creating a positive and supportive school climate and culture where all individuals receive the necessary supports to ensure their success.
